The Review
You can’t expect bigger than this
Ram Charan Tej’s Magadheera lives up to its expectations. Neither Ram Charan Tej nor director Raja Mouli disappoint. Both excelled in their work. The highlight of the film is the 45 minutes flash back periodic episode, which comes in the second half. The First half and the last part of the film are also good. The action episodes of the flash back sequence are highlights. The songs are brilliantly shot.
On the whole, Magadheera has got everything from story, performance and technical standards. What else the audience expect?
Synopsis
Kalabhaiarava (Ram Charan) was the warrior in Udaigarh who trains the soldiers. The Senadhipathi Randheer (Dev Gil) lusts on Yuvarani Mitravinda (Kajal) but the latter loves Kalabhirava. That results in a huge battle between Randheer and Kalabhairava which puts end for their lives. Kalabhairava, the princes, Raghuveer and Sher Khan are reborn after 400 years. Raghuveer (Dev Gil) wants to marry Indu (Kajal). Kalabhairava is reborn as a bike racer Harsha. Sher Khan is reborn as Soloman a fisherman. It is now a clash once again between Raghuveer and Harsha to win over the hand of Indu. How Harsha goes abut the task is the basis for the remaining part of the film.
Artistic Performances
Ram Charan steals the show from beginning to ending. From his get up t his performance he is awesome and brilliant especially in the period sequences.
His horse-riding skills are worth mention and of course the ease in his dances and action sequences. With Magadheera he proves that he is the true successor to Megastar Chiranjeevi.
Kajal
perfectly suited the two roles and she justified her roles. As Princes she is charming and showed the dignity in performance.
Srihari
and Villan Dev Gil justified their roles.
Chiranjeevi shines as a special appearance in Bangaru Kodi Petta song. Among others Rao Ramesh as Aghora Sadhu, Sunil, Brahmanandam and Hema are okay.
Technical Performances
First thing about the film is kudos to producer Allu Aravind for giving such a costly and brilliant film to Tollywood. Vijayendra Varma’s story is okay. Many stories of such kinds have bee made. But it is director Raja Mouli, who brought the freshness to the film with his vision. His vision is rich and big. He is 100% succeeded in bringing his vision to the screen. The story and the narration is very simple and that is where it reaches out the common audience. The credit completely goes to Raja Mouli. Cinematographer
Senthil Kumar
does outstanding work and his work is highly standard. Tollywood should be proud of him. Art director
Ravinder's
work and Rama Rajamoluli’s costumes and Keeravani’s music are worth to mention. They are at their best.
All other departments justified their roles. Technically Magadheera is the best Tollywood film till to date.
